Service Club donates money to the Stephanie Decker Foundation

The Service Club at Wilson and their sponsor Mrs. Dierking recently donated money to Stephanie Decker and her foundation.  Stephanie Decker became a local hero when she lost her legs while shielding her children from the tornado that touched down in Henryville, IN two years ago.  She has since created a special foundation to create awareness, and help others who have also lost limbs.  The nine members of the Service club have spent the entire school year selling used books and other supplies to help raise money for the Stephanie Decker Foundation.  Recently, they presented Stephanie Decker with a check for over $200.  Mrs. Decker came to Wilson and spoke to our 3rd – 5th grade students about the tornado, her foundation, and how her life has been different since the tornado.   Thank you to Stephanie Decker for coming to Wilson, and sharing her heroic story with our students!
