Community Helpers – Jeffersonville Fire Department and Clarksville Police Department

To help close out their unit on Community Helpers, our 2nd Grade students were treated to special visits from our community helpers in Jeffersonville and Clarksville.  Three firefighters from the Jeffersonville Fire Department came with information about fire safety and the fire truck, which our students were really excited to see.  2nd Grade students were also visited by the K-9 unit from the Clarksville Police Department.  Officer Lehman and his dog came to share information about what his job is all about, and to help our students understand what the K-9 unit is used for in our community.   Our students also wrote thank you notes to both of these community helpers to show their appreciation for coming to visit, and more importantly keeping our community safe and protected.10357398_10152449628344252_746033307_o
